I was giving Claude step-by-step instructions for a report. Then I tried giving it the goal instead.

I caught myself explaining every step of creating a usage report: find the dashboard, look at the graphs, take screenshots. It was the same approach I would have used to do the work myself.
In a fresh session, I gave Claude the dashboard and asked which users used the feature. Letting it work towards the result changed how I approached the task.
